Two-time defending national champion Lubbock Christian (23-0 last season) begins the 2021-22 season ranked No. 1 in the WBCA NCAA Division II Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll released today. The Lady Chaps have won three of the last five DII national championships dating back to 2016. The NCAA tournament was not played in 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Drury (24-2), which lost to Lubbock Christian in last year's national championship game, is No. 2 in this year's preseason poll. Lander (20-2), Fort Hays State (22-4) and Azusa Pacific (12-5) round out the top 25. Click here to view the complete rankings.
