Central Missouri beat then-No. 1 Ashland 66-52 in the NCAA Division II National Championship Game and finished No. 1 in the WBCA NCAA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Jennies ended the Eagles' 73-game winning streak en route to claiming the program's second national championship.
