Tufts University, lead by head coach Carla Berube, begins the 2016-17 season atop the rankings in the WBCA NCAA DIII Preseason Top 25 Coaches' Poll. Fresh off their 28-win season, the Jumbos are returning four starters and received the most first-place votes out of any other team.
The 2015-16 national championship Thomas More Saints look to continue last year's succsss as they come into the 2016-17 season ranked No. 5.
Rounding out the top 5 in the preseason poll are Amherst, Scranton and Texas - Tyler.
