WBCA/D2CIDA Division II National Player of the Week – Izzy Moore, 5-10, Sr., Northern State
Moore, the second straight player from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference to earn the national honor, averaged 33.5
points and 9.5 rebounds over the course of road wins over Bemidji State and Minnesota Duluth last week that brought the
Wolves to 15-11 on the season. She went 23-of-36 (63.9 percent) from the field, two-of-five from three-point range and 19-of-
21 (90.5 percent) at the free throw line while adding an assist and a steal.
She began her week with a 26-point, 11-rebound performance in a 73-55 win at Bemidji State, scoring 11 of her points in the
opening quarter to help the Wolves build a nine-point lead. Moore finished nine-of-17 from the field with one three-point
basket and seven-of-eight at the line as she recorded her third double-double of the season. On Saturday in a 74-58 win over
NSIC North Division leader Minnesota Duluth, Moore tallied a career-high 41 points – tying the second-most in a game in
program history – as she scored NSU’s first eight points and did most of her scoring damage in the second half when she had
27 of NSU’s 39 points, including the last 12. Moore was selected as the Player of the Week in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate
Conference’s North Division.
