WBCA/D2CIDA Division II National Player of the Week – Kira Bass, 6-1, Sr., Northwestern Oklahoma State

Northwest Oklahoma State (18-8) clinched its spot in the Great American Conference Tournament last week behind the play of Bass, who averaged 24.7 points, 12 rebounds, 2.3 assists and one blocked shot in three Ranger wins. She opened the week with a 17-point, 18-rebound effort in a 74-64 win over Southeastern Oklahoma State, then tallied 32 points on 10-of-19 shooting and a perfect 12-of-12 night at the foul line with 11 rebounds and two assists along the way as the Rangers downed Southern Arkansas 74-64.


Bass wrapped up her week by scoring 25 points on 11-of-18 shooting and adding seven rebounds and four assists in an 83-63 win over Arkansas-Monticello. Over the three contests, Bass went 27-of-48 (56.3 percent) from the field and 20-of-24 (83.3 percent) at the free throw line while recording her 10th and 11th double-doubles of the season and increasing her seasonal scoring average to 20.2 points per game which ranks 11th in NCAA Division II. Bass was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week by the Great American Conference.
