Administrator of the Year

Administrator of the Year is presented annually to a collegiate athletics administrator who has promoted women’s basketball in a positive manner at the local, regional and/or national levels, and who has served as a professional role model for student-athletes.

Eligibility

The following persons may be nominated for the award:

  • National office administrators.
  • Conference commissioners.
  • Conference associate/assistant commissioners or other conference-based administrators.
  • Athletics directors.
  • Associate or assistant athletics directors
  • Senior woman administrators.

A nominee does not have to be a member of the WBCA.

Nomination

All college head coaches who are members of the WBCA may nominate any person who satisfies the criteria. Nominations must be submitted online.

Selection

The WBCA Executive Committee selects a recipient from the pool of nominees. Nominations of persons not selected remain active for three years.
