The WBCA recognizes outstanding academic performance of college women’s basketball teams through its Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. The top teams in each of the five collegiate divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and two-year college — are recognized through this program.

Eligibility
All college women’s basketball teams whose head coaches are WBCA members are eligible for this award. A team that did not compete in the most recent basketball season is not eligible to be nominated for this award.
Criteria
- All players who were on the official team roster at the start of the second semester must be included in computing the team GPA.
- First semester hours attempted and GPA.
- Second semester hours attempted and GPA.
- Same format applies if using the quarter system.
- Weighted grades must be converted to a 4.0 grade point scale. Quarter and semester hours can be accepted.
- Team GPA minimum of a 3.0
Nomination
College head coaches who are WBCA members may nominate their teams for this award. Nominations must be submitted online and received by the deadline; no exceptions are made. The first and last names of all players on the official team roster at the start of the second semester, as well as the hours attempted and GPA for both the first and second semesters, must be submitted per the criteria.
Selection
The top 25 institutions at each collegiate level will be announced mid-summer. Team grade point averages are determined by the total number of quality points divided by the total number of hours attempted by all players on the team. In 2022, the WBCA also began recognizing all other teams with a 3.0 or better GPA.
