Membership Dues Structure
Whether you are a coach, administrator or player at the professional, collegiate or scholastic level, or provide products and services to the women’s and girls’ basketball community, there is a membership for you!
Professional
Qualifications: Any individual who has full-time employment as a coach in professional women’s basketball (such as WNBA, NBA).
- Fee – $125
- Head coach, associate head coach, assistant coach or director of operations (includes assistant director and coordinator of basketball operations.)
Collegiate
Qualifications: Any individual who has full-time employment as a head coach, associate head coach, assistant coach or director of basketball operations in a women’s basketball program at a two- or four-year college or university.
**This category is not for international coaches or director of operations. These individuals must use the “International” category.

Associate head coach, assistant coach or director of operations(includes assistant director of operations and coordinator of basketball operations.)

Special approval from WBCA office is required for admission in this category. Email membership@wbca.org for more information.
Scholastic
Qualifications: Any individual who has full-time employment as a girls’ basketball coach at the following levels:
• Fee – $60
• High school, junior high school, middle school or elementary school.
Amateur Athletic Union
Qualifications: Any individual who is actively coaching an AAU girls’ basketball team.
- Fee – $60
- Head coach, associate head coach or assistant coach.
Recreational/Club
Qualifications: Any individual who is actively coaching a women’s or girls’ basketball team for a recreational or club league.
International
Qualifications: Any individual joining from outside of the United States (such as coaches, directors of operation, administrators) or its territories.
**This category is not for individuals associated with a for-profit business or non-profit corporation, association or event operator working in basketball (includes all consultants). These individuals must use the “Patron” category.
Patron (Formally Business/Allied)
Qualifications: Any individual associated with a for-profit business or non-profit corporation, business owner/CEO or event operator working in basketball (includes all consultants).
Administrator/Media/Support Staff
Qualifications: Any individual who is currently employed or volunteering in a support position for a women’s or girls’ basketball program/team (such as athletic director, SID, trainer, graduate assistant, videographer, scholastic principal and game official).
Retired Coach or Administrator
Any individual who has previously held a WBCA membership and who is retired from their careers in women’s or girls’ basketball. Members who are still employed in another capacity are excluded from this category.
Player
Qualifications: Any individual who is actively playing for a women’s or girls’ basketball team on the professional, collegiate, scholastic, AAU, recreational or club levels.
Unemployed
Qualifications: Those who are not currently employed in women’s or girls’ basketball but are still actively seeking a position in the sport.
