Her main responsibility is to create, implement and oversee marketing strategies and communications between the association, its more than 4,000 members and the public. The summer of 2021 brought new opportunities to Lewis as she led where she was and welcomed the responsibility of managing the association’s educational efforts, including overseeing programming for WBCA conventions and organizing webinar series.

From 2014 to 2016, Lewis worked with the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), first as media relations assistant and then as interactive media specialist. She oversaw the conference’s in-house graphic design/marketing department and supervised all social media platforms for the conference office. She also worked as a sports information director (SID) for multiple sports including women’s basketball, women’s bowling, softball and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field.

Prior to joining the SWAC, Lewis was the communications director for Virtual Village Classroom — a scholastic, education company in Florence, Alabama.
