Oregon’s Ruthy Hebard and Missouri’s Sophie Cunningham are this week’s Wade Watch Spotlight players.
Hebard dominated as the Ducks toured through Washington leading them to wins over Washington and Washington State. She dropped a career-high 30 points on 13-of-15 shooting in Oregon’s 76-63 win at Washington. She added 4-of-6 free throws to round out her career performance. The sophomore from Fairbanks, Alaska, also snagged 14 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season. She kept the hot hand as the Ducks traveled to Washington State for a 90-79 win over the Cougars. Hebard went a perfect 12-of-12 from the field for a game-high 29 points. The sophomore forward didn’t miss a shot of any kind all night, also going 5-of-5 from the charity stripe. This performance put Hebard over the 1,000- career-points mark. She narrowly missed recording her second double-double by grabbing nine rebounds. Hebard also was a force on the defensive side blocking four shots and snagging a steal.
