ATLANTA (March 28, 2019) — The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced the 2019 WBCA Victory Club honorees today.
C. Vivian Stringer, head coach of Rutgers University, reached 1,000 wins during the 2018-19 season to lead this year’s Victory Club. She became the sixth college women’s basketball coach to reach this career milestone. She is joined by Andy Zihlman, of Bishop Lynch High School in Texas, who also won his 1,000th game this season.
The WBCA Victory Club honor is bestowed annually on each WBCA-member head coach who achieves a milestone of 200, 300, 400, 500 or more career victories during the current season on the level of competition at which they currently coach. Victories recorded at differing levels of competition cannot be combined.
