Hosting

You can ensure there is a Whiteboard session in your area by hosting one and serving as a catalyst for learning and leadership development.

Hosting isn't difficult. The WBCA and NACWAA together supply a flexible agenda with supporting materials and resources. NACWAA also encourages its membership to support the program; so, you may look for some help from your administrator. You can fit the program to your strengths, situation and group. You control the key elements of the session:

When it is held - you select the date and time
Where it is held - you select the place and facility
What is covered - we provide an agenda and outline along with the supporting materials and resources you need to carry it out. Remember -- the key word is flexibility. You adjust the program to your audience, your time constraints, facility and comfort level.
Who and how many are invited - you decide if you want to focus on a certain level (for example, NCAA Division II) or position (e.g., head coaches only) and if you want to limit the number of participants (e.g., no more than 10). It is your call.

Before you apply to host, you should determine the following:

Do you want a "by-invitation-only" small group of coaches? For promotional purposes we can supply a printed invitation that you can send out or we can provide you with sample emails.
If you want your session to be open to any coach, do you have a maximum number of people that you can accommodate? You can design it to fit your situation.

 Level (collegiate, high school, etc.)
 Position (head coach, assistant, etc.)
 Maximum number of participants

The host application form requests that you provide a list of coaches you specifically wish to invite, if you have any, along with their email addresses. The WBCA can supply you with sample emails if you wish to send the invitations yourself or we can send them to your invitees on your behalf. Once the form is completed, please fax this completed form to 770-279-8473 or send via email to whiteboard@wbca.org.

There is no fee to host a Whiteboard session. If you have expenses such as refreshments, materials, etc., you can pass them on to the attendees by charging a registration fee that you determine and collect. We will ask you on the application form.
