WBCA Awards Program
Founded in 1981, the mission of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association
(WBCA) is to promote women's basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to
develop a reputable identity for the sport of women's basketball, and to foster
and promote the development of the game in all of its aspects as a sport for
women and girls.
The WBCA Awards Program was developed in 1981 as a vehicle for members of the
WBCA to recognize and honor the efforts and achievements toward promoting and
enhancing the profession of coaching and playing women's basketball. The WBCA
Awards Program continues today as a successful and well-known benefit of the
WBCA.
